CDL Driver

CDL DRIVER MATERIAL HANDLER The Position of CDL Driver Material Handler will include, but is not limited to, the following duties: • Has an excellent understanding of building materials and our inventory • Maintains a good understanding of where stock and special-order items are located throughout the yard and warehouses • Has a reasonable understanding of items inside the store and their location • Work with Yard Manager on coordinating deliveries • Maintains a safe driving record • Good understanding of the local area • Delivers in a timeframe that’s reasonable and safe • Assists the Inventory Manager with inventory counts as required • Ensures the accuracy of inventory by filling customer orders correctly • Ensures all orders or special orders are invoiced prior to delivering • Ensures the accuracy of all orders they’re delivering prior to delivery • Assists Yard Manager with all maintenance and safety of the yard and warehouses • Assists Yard Manager in keeping products clean, safe, and dry to minimize loss • Assists Yard Manager with preventative maintenance on delivery fleet as needed • Plows, shovels, salts and cleans as needed to ensure the safety of the exterior areas • Maintain a friendly and helpful manner at all times • Handle customer complaints in a positive and constructive manner Skills Required: • CDL and/or Chauffeurs license required • Can lift, push, pull up 100lbs • Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions • Good understanding on the operation of all yard equipment • Strong knowledge of building materials • Great attention to detail • Good communication skills • The ability to multitask • Excellent customer service and people skills
